Featuring Dr. Michael Lindsay
October 29 - November 1, 2009

At this year's Laity Lodge Leaders' Retreat, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Michael Lindsay. Michael is a sociologist at Rice University, an award-winning author, and an engaging speaker. His recent book, Faith in the Halls of Power, has been highly acclaimed as a groundbreaking study of Christians who are leaders in business, government, and education. Michael's messages will include:

• The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory: When
   Faith and Power Meet
• Ties that Bind: Leadership and the Common
   Good
• Faithful Leadership: The Perils and Possibilities
   of Privilege and Power

Michael will challenge us to think in new ways about how our leadership can make a difference in the world for the kingdom of God.

Joining Michael at this year's Leaders' Retreat will be Mark Roberts, Senior Director and Scholar-in-Residence of Laity Lodge. He will teach a series of in-depth Bible studies on leadership. By careful attention to the biblical text, Mark will help you wrestle with what it means to be a servant leader in today's world.

Music will be provided by David Tolley, an amazing pianist and longtime friend of Laity Lodge. He will delight us, entertain us, and lead us in joyful worship. Plus, as always, the food will be delicious, the company delightful, and the Hill Country autumn weather crisp.

If you're a leader at work or at home, in the community or in the church, join us at the Leaders' Retreat, October 29 - November 1, 2009. For more information or to register, visit our website (www.laitylodge.org) or contact our Registrar, Ann Jack (annjack@laitylodge.org; 830-792-1230).
